Vitreous enamelling is an ancient art and never loses it's charm. The process is so thrilling and is always satisfying - you never really know how each piece will turn out!
Powdered glass is applied to thoroughly cleaned copper blanks and then it is heated in a special kiln to between 800-900 C - during this process the glass become molten and adheres to the copper beneath. Meanwhile the chemical compounds in the glass react with the heat to change colour - magical!!
This pendant is totally unique and one of a kind, it is hung on waxed cotton thonging which is firnly glued to the back of the pendant and has an adjustable closure so you can wear it at the length that best suits you!!
